Rabbit & Guinea Pig Boarding
At Oxford Small Pet Boarding, rabbits and guinea pigs are cared for in a secure indoor building, providing a safe, calm environment throughout their stay.
Weather permitting, pets enjoy time in our outdoor exercise runs, allowing them to stretch, explore, and graze naturally during the day. Our main rabbit run is built in line with Rabbit Welfare Association guidelines and measures 3 metres long, 2 metres wide, and 1 metre high, ensuring plenty of space for movement and enrichment.
We provide locally sourced meadow and timothy hay, grown and baled in Murcott just outside Oxford. Our dust-extracted sawdust is also sourced locally to ensure high-quality, low-dust bedding. We understand that some pets have individual preferences or requirements, so you are very welcome to bring your own bedding if needed.
All indoor enclosures are equipped with internal hay racks, a water bottle or bowl (according to your preference), a den area for security and comfort, and a selection of toys and chews for enrichment.
To maintain excellent hygiene standards, all enclosures are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between stays. Pets will only be housed alone or with their bonded companions and are never mixed with other customers’ animals.
For the safety of all rabbits in our care, we only accept vaccinated rabbits. Rabbits must be vaccinated against Myxomatosis and Rabbit Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (RHD) strains 1 and 2. Proof of up-to-date vaccinations must be emailed at the time of booking. Vaccinations must have been completed at least two weeks prior to arrival to avoid refusal of boarding.
